Details of the AMA Event
The Moonscape Game Project team was represented by Kerel, the CMO of Seascape Network who gladly shared detailed knowledge and information about the Moonscape Game PROJECT.
First Segment: Introduction/Interview
Q1. Could you please introduce yourself to our audience?
ANS: My name is Kerel, I’m the CMO of Seascape Network the gaming platform focused on blockchain, DeFi, and NFT. We have just started our new IDO Launchpad called the lighthouse and the first project we are helping launch is called Moonscape.
I come from the traditional gaming sector, and so do all the core members of Seascape. We all knew each other from there and started together in the crypto sphere and we’ve never looked back since.
We’ve been working in the crypto sphere for about 4 years now, and after years of developing our blockchain games we found out we spent so much time developing the tools instead of the game, we decided to make those tools available for everyone and provide the best support infrastructure for traditional game developers to come onto the blockchain.
With this vision, seascape was launched 8 months ago, and now the Lighthouse with its first project — Moonscape. 🚀
Q2. How did your team come up with the concept of Moonscape and what problems are you solving?
ANS: Moonscape is the answer we’ve found to the problems we’ve seen in the current crypto gaming sphere. Blockchain games right now are very limited, in that most just consist of a few NFTs acting as cards and offer very limited gameplay.
Furthermore, those are always necessary and it makes the learning curve, and thus the entry barrier very high for non-crypto gamers.
Moonscape is an actual game you could play, take your rover to go around, collect resources, build buildings, and fight enemies.
And if you wish so, you would not even have to add your wallet to play, so non-crypto people could play the game entirely crypto free but would be highly incentivized to add the crypto component to enter the play-2-earn part.
With this, we hope to not only make current blockchain games more fun but also more intuitive and ease the onboarding of a whole new player audience.
Q3. Who are competitors to Moonscape in the crypto sphere and what’s the strategy to outperform them?
ANS: The current competitors are other cryptos/blockchain games such as axies, or alien worlds but those games have the issue I just mentioned before, of not really being full-fledged games, the gameplay is still too limited and new players onboarding is very hard because:
1. They need extensive crypto knowledge.
2. They need a high initial investment.
I already mentioned how we solved 1 above, by not requiring but highly incentivizing — adding the crypto element.
For point 2, others have created systems to try to solve that issue but for us, you could play Moonscape entirely for free, and could even start earning by selling your cities as NFTs before having to buy a single token, which could then serve as your initial capital to get the tokens and from there, start earning with DeFi.
Q4. Crypto is community-focused, how important is the community to the Moonscape team and what steps will be taken by the team to keep the interest of the community & investors intact.
ANS: Community is one of our core focus as we develop the game. We have integrated feedback in gameplay from some of our early believers, and even added some interactive elements between players, something other games are sorely lacking.
For example, you can attack others for their resources, or on the contrary work together to gain additional DeFi profits.
As we grow, more community elements will be added to the game and in general to the seascape ecosystem as groups will be able to form and profit together.
Additionally, we will increase our social presence and share constant updates. We already have over 2,000 followers on both Twitter and telegram a few weeks only after our start, and the community response so far has been great!
Q5. Could you share some recent product development in terms of roadmap or milestones achieved?
ANS: The most impressive so far is getting listed on the Lighthouse. 🕯🥳 The first is being in direct partnership with the moonbeam team to develop this game and the game is already under development.
We have also finished our first version of the website. Now after the IDO (Initial Dex Offering), we will soon be ready for the TGE (Token Generation Event) and a closed Beta of the game and lastly getting ready for the full release of the game once the Moonbeam network is live.
Second Segment: AMA Pre-asked Questions
Q1. For Funding, Moonscape was launched on Lighthouse. How much do you plan to raise and how much has been raised already?
ANS: For Moonscape, the game has been developed in partnership with the moonbeam team, which means we do not need to raise that much, we’ve only raised 75K publicly.
We decided to do that as it will really favour all the players and holders, who would be able to get a good percentage of the token supply at a very advantageous price, so don’t hesitate and get in.
Q2. What differences in Moonscape make it a flagship game for this burgeoning Play to Earn segment?
ANS: 1. The lower entry barrier for non-crypto people
2. Very low (to no) initial capital needed, so no need to buy $2,000 assets to start playing.
3. Low gas fees as the game will be released exclusively on the Moonbeam network.
4. Actual game, with fun, gameplay and good graphics.
5. More community interplay elements.
6. Very good incentives in the form of both NFTs and DeFi economies etc.
Q3. How can I upgrade my Machines and Building? How will it help do increase my earnings?
ANS: As you play the game you will be farming some of the in-game resources, which would be used to construct and upgrade your buildings and rovers.
Each building and rover will offer unique benefits, that go on increasing as their levels go higher. Features such as faster harvesting for a particular resource type, faster construction or bonuses in attack or defence. Additionally, each building also has a DeFi component that would open earning potentials for you.
Similarly, this potential increases as you level up your buildings and you could even further increase this by placing the best commander (NFTs) for the particular building. All these make for a very interesting combination for your earning potential.
Q4. There are two tokens that I see on the platform MSCP and MOONDUST. Were both tokens used on the Platform?
ANS: MSCP is the token, moondust is an in-game currency used to gain advantages in the game. So MSCP is integrated into the DeFi element, you could use it to the stake, earn as a reward and even exchange for some Moondust. Moondust in turn is an in-game currency that you could use to get several advantages, like faster harvesting or building. All the players will also be able to earn more moondust as a reward from the seasonal pool, in which the more a player spends, the more they will receive as rewards.
Q5. In the Lighthouse, you have Classified 4 tiers
Tier 0, Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3. Can you tell me more about these tier systems and on what bases are these tiers Classified?
ANS: Like many other IDO launchpads, the Lighthouse has a tier system going from 0 to 3 with 3 being the highest. Users from, tiers 1 to 3 will have a chance to participate in IDOs. To get those tiers the users will have to accomplish certain tasks.
These tasks would depend on what the next IDO is and will change over time. Do note however that once you have a tier, you will keep it even if the requirements change.
Your tier is used once you participate in the IDO and earn a random allotment, but you’ll keep it if you don’t win the allotment (even if you participate in the auction pool) or win an allotment but refuse it.
To exemplify, tier 3 users will participate in round 1 of the allotment, the ones with the highest spending potential, if they win they can spend to help raise the funds for Moonscape, if they don’t win then they go onto round 2 with the tier 2 and so on for round 3. But that’s where it gets interesting. People who did not win any of the allotments can still get some tokens. They will go onto the Auction Pool where they are guaranteed some tokens as long as they participate and spend. So it’s a chance for everyone to get in on those sweet IDO tokens.
3rd Segment: Live Questions
Q1. I found that Moonscape has lots of investors and Partners like Moonbeam, ZBS Capital and many more. Can you tell me how they had helped in the growth of Moonscape?
ANS: First of all Moonbeam is our exclusive partner, and they have really helped us with everything from defining gameplay to how to earn, etc. Other investors have helped us with networking, getting news assets, putting us in touch with other projects and of course raise funds.
Q2. On Moonscape Platform, I saw different types of Rovers. How do these Rovers differ from each other?
ANS: Rovers do not follow a simple A < B but rather have different stats that you could improve, so we will have many types of rovers and you would need to choose the one you prefer depending on your type of play.
Q3. I want to know if MoonScape games are designed to allow traditional gamers to take part in the action without committing to blockchain technology? For those who are not interested in Moonscape’s DeFi element, do I need to have a cryptocurrency wallet before playing and enjoying the game?
You don’t actually have to use a wallet to be in, you could play entirely for free if you wanted to.
